Where do these art classes take place?

Backyard Picassos is held in my backyard. We have a designated studio space that includes an indoor area as well as a covered outdoor area.For privacy purposes, the address is not provided until after registration. I am located in Fallston, MD (3 mi from I-95)

What can I expect from this class?

Each class will be set up with several thematic stations your child can move about freely. These stations are developmentally appropriate for the age range listed and involve a variety of different art materials. Each child will leave with at least one take home piece of art.

But.. art can be messy..?

Yes! This space welcomes the mess and I am happy to clean it all up after you leave. My goal is to provide a safe space where your child can interact and explore these materials in a way that feels freeing to them. All materials are non-toxic and are mainly washable, but please dress in clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty! A hand washing station will be available.

Is a caregiver required to stay?

Yes, I do ask that each child is accompanied by at least one caregiver over the age of 18.

What is the cancellation policy? UPDATED

All Backyard Picasso classes are non refundable unless requested within 24 hours of registration. If for some reason I need to cancel class, I will provide a full refund or the option to make up the class at a later date.

What if my child is older or younger then the age range listed?

Any and all children are welcome!! The class will be designed to be developmentally appropriate for the age range listed, but that is not to say that children outside of that range can't enjoy the activities as well! I am more than happy to create some age appropriate activities for your child if you alert me beforehand.

I have multiple children, can I bring them all?

Absolutely! Please feel free to bring younger (or even older) siblings with you to the art classes. I ask that any child who plans on participating is registered for. This way I can be sure to have enough materials for everyone, as well as keep an accurate head count of children!

How many kids will be at each class?

Classes are capped at 10 children to ensure I can give my full attention to everyone in attendance!

What about weather?

All classes will be held rain or shine, unless it seems unsafe for our children. I will try to call off a class as early as I can and alert you all through email or text.

Are bathrooms provided? UPDATED

Please be sure to use the bathroom before coming to class seeing as there are no bathrooms provided. A private potty area will be set up for our children to use in case of emergencies.
